Regional Medical Student Scholarship

Salary Options is proud to announce the inaugural Monash University School of Medicine Rural Co-hort scholarship. Salary Options has award Ms Meg Creely with a $1,000 grant to assist her in the cost of undertaking her medical training.

The Rural Co-hort scholarship is awarded to a student who is undertaking their first year of Bachelor of Medicine at Monahs University who lives in Central Victoria before commencing the program.

 

The objective of the programs is to increase the number of medical students who have spent their formative years in Central Victoria completing the bulk of their training in Regional Victoria in centres like Bendigo, Swan Hill and Mildura.

Studies have shown people who have established links with regional communities are more likely to return to these communities after completing their qualifications.

Salary Options is committed to esnuring the sustainabilty of Regional Communities through maximising the remuneration of employees in the Health and Not-For-Profit Community sectors, ensuring the continued provision of services which ensure the health and wellbeing of people who live in Regional Victoria.

Salary Opions will award a scolarship to a first year student to assist them in the costs of moving to Melbourne for the first two years of their degre.
